Instant Oats Idly

Servings - 6

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Quick Oats
  • ½ Cup Wheat Rava
  • ½ Cup Curd
  • ½ Cup choice of Vegetables  
  • Water as needed
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • ½ Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Tsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 Green Chilli finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 1 Tsp Ginger

To Temper
  • 1 Tbsp Oil
  • 3/4th Tsp Mustard
  • 1 Tsp Urad Dal
  • 1 Tsp Channa Dal
  • 1/4th Tsp Curry Leaves
Directions
  • Dry roast the oats until nice aroma comes, then coarsely grind it 
  • Heat pan with oil and temper with mustard, urad dal, channa dal, and curry leaves
  • Add chopped vegetables and ginger and saute for few minutes
  • Add rava and saute for few minutes
  • In the mixing bowl add oats powder, baking soda, salt and mix it 
  • Add lemon juice,rava mix, curd, coarinder leaves and mix it with water until you get desired consistency
  • Pour in the idly cooker and cook it for 15 minutes

Note - Serve hot with any chutney

Milk Peda

Servings- 20
Ingredients



  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 130 g milk powder
  • 60 g butter

Direction


  • In a microwave safe bowl, melt the butter for 30 seconds.
  • Add condensed milk and milk powder to it and mix well.
  • Keep the mixture in the microwave for 2 minutes.
  • Take it out and stir once again.
  • Keep it in the microwave for 2 more minutes.
  • Take it out and pour the mixture in a greased plate.
  • After it gets set, cut doodh peda it into small pieces.

Cashew chicken kuzhambu

Servings - 10

Ingredients
  • 2 lb chicken thigh
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 2 Serrano pepper
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • ¼ cup cashew nuts

Direction

  • Clean and cut the chicken in bite size pieces.
  • In blender make paste by adding cashew and little amount of water . 
  • In separate pan add oil and heat , once it is hot add chopped onion and saute for 5 minutes. 
  • Add chopped tomatoes and little salt and cover and cook for 3 minutes. 
  • Add chicken pieces ,turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder and remaining salt and mix well and saute for 2 minutes. 
  • Cover and cook in medium flame until chicken is done, if need add little water. 
  • Add cashew paste and garam masala and cook for 5 minutes in medium flame. 
  • Serve with Rice,Chapati,Idly,Dosa.
